I'm in need of some new Lower Control Arm Bushings on my front driver's side. I see Amazon sells the whole arm with bushings for about $100.

I've read here that some people buy just the bushing for $100.

Should I go with the aftermarket arm and bushing for $100?

Do just the bushings for $100 (OEM or other?)

Or get a new OEM lower control arm with bushing for $300?

Truck has 230k miles. No idea how hard it will be to press out the bushings. I have no equipment for that kind of thing. That's why I'm leaning towards replacing the whole arm. Suggestions?

One of the bushes in the front is in the chassis, this isn't the easiest job with out a air chisel. I put oem on last week, but for some reason I could source a OEM cheaper than aftermarket in the UK. If your ball joint is good I would prefer a old OEM ball joint to a new aftermarket as mine went sloppy after a year. So I would prefer new bushes and regrease ball joint to a cheap aftermarket.

I'd buy the bushings and take it to a shop that will remove and press for you if you don't have the tools and install some new OEM ball joints. I like how the controls arms are much bigger than domestics, so I wouldn't put aftermarket on mine. My ford truck had wimpy control arms to start with, so I put moog (seems to be good aftermarket and cheap) on it when I needed to. Rockauto has aftermarket LC control arms for cheap, $60.
