Its about an hour and half from me. The trailer is 4ft by 6 feet nine inches. Its advertised as aluminum but I think the frame is steel with treadplate covering the sides. Asking price is $800. So what do you think? Decent price? (i would use it for a general trailer/ camping trailer with future plans of a RTT.

Just recieved a reply from the current owner. The frame is aluminum as well and has the same tread plate on the floor. Beginning to sound tempting to me.

What kind of load is the axle rated for? Will that meet your future needs? I bet that 4-wheeler is heavy.

Im sure it's light weight! Not sure about the axle, but it looks to be 5 lug and Ill want to change it to 6 lug. So im not so concerned about the rating. I may offer $600 and see what happens.

That's a pretty good deal on an aluminum trailer. Heck, you could probably take it to recycling and get half that turning it in with the  cans:)

My guess.... just a guess.... is that it is likely a bit light duty for off road use with much of a load. If that is your intended use.

Pay attention to the springs, axles and spring mounting points.

Most small trailers made for light duty use on the road are really out f their element when you start to drag them down the trails.

My personal opinion is that if it is not the equivalent of an M416 then I really don't want to have it on the trail with me.

Mark...

I can see where your going with that. A full on off road trailer really isnt in my future. The most offroad I foresee is from the pavement to the gravel drive at the camp sites.
