Does anyone know of any local shops that do "Section Repairs"? My wife bought me a almost new pair of 35" Xterrains, but she didnt see the 2" slit in the sidewall of one. She spent a good chunk of change on them, and I dont want to just chuck them. I heard section repairs work pretty well if done correctly.

Thanks

Check with equipment tire type places, don't know if any small ones still exist? In the "old days", Roberts Tire did that type of work. Phone calls are rarely successful, best to show up with the tire, talk to the guy who knows what he is doing and stress that it is not a road tire, only for low speed off road use. Is a rubber cut or are the cords/plys cut?

IIRC, section repairs "boots" are illegal for passenger cars & light trucks. Used to do them 24/7 on OTR and equipment tires. But that was 20 years ago.
