I have decided it is time to replace my shocks and all bushings that would effect the handling of the truck such as spring bushings and shock bushings. The problem is I dont know what to order. I know I need 4 shocks (toyota), spring bushings (not sure how many), I know that there are bushings on the shocks but I havent found any on either CCCOT, or JTOUTFITTERS, also what is the front link? and should those bushingd be replaced? I guess I'm asking for a list of what to buy or a kit of some kind. Once I tear into it I want to have all the parts on hand . Its my DD and cant have it out of comminsion too long
Thanks

You need 24 spring bushings if your going to do them all. If the suspension hasn't been worked on since new, the old shackles and spring pins don't always give up easy so be prepared to do some persuading.

The sway bar links are real easy, they connect your front sway bar to the frame. Shocks should come with everything you need for mounting.

if you buy toyota shocks they come with new rubber bushings.

Hit all 4 corners with a good penetrating oil every day for a week before you decide to start
working on it. Should make persuading the pins/bushings a fair bit easier.
Don't use WD-40.
I use PB Blaster, but I've heard a 50/50 misx of ATF and kerosene works better than anything
else out there.

Might even make the rig ride slightly better, too. :D

should i use POLY or ruber spring bushing?

I have heard that poly last longer but give rougher ride? Should I stick with rubber ones?

No experience with poly, but the stock bushings on my 60 (214K miles) looked surprisingly good when I pulled them out.

Rubber ride better, are quiter, and deteriorate quicker.

Poly ride firmer ( I say better), can squeak if not greased, and almost never deteriorate.

Get Poly.

If you want to just go with rubber, I would just order them from the dealer or C-Dan.

If you want Poly, this is a great place to get stuff. http://www.suspension.com/
They sell spring bushing kits, and also sell generic shock bushing and anti-swaybar kits. Very helpful on the phone, too.

Poly bushings. KYB high pressure shocks. The KYBs are expensive but worth every penny IMOP.
