You will probably need a small propane torch, to burn the old bushings out, if they're stuck (most are), and some BFH's (Big F***ing hammer)

Also, get some good penetrating oil (PB Blaster, etc) and spray everything down for a couple of days before you start. Makes the job easier -- Spray the U-bolts at the axle, shackles EVERYTHING


When you're ready to go, we can post LOTS of pix to help you along the way, should you need them.

Ok guys... thanks a BUNCH for all your info and help. This place is the BEST! I will call Cory... and I appreciate the ARB pdf with part numbers. What all on that list comes with the "Heavy / Heavy" setup?

On the PDF you can look and see which part numbers you'll need. Just make sure when you order that you order the correct quanity of each part. 4wheelparts did not quote me correctly the first time because they didn't have the correct quanities down.

If you choose to replace your steering damper you'll need a pickle fork or a small puller to get the old one out. My truck has zero rust and I didn't have any issues with getting any of my bolts undone or any of my bushings out. From what I've read, I'm one of the lucky few.

I wasn't so lucky

I ended up taking mine into a $hop, cause I lacked the tools to deal with all the seized hardware.

Location, location, location. Up there in Canada it's probably a little harder to find rust free. Mine was originally purchased from the dealer in California then moved to Arizona where I bought it and moved it to Georgia.

Not technically difficult, but could be challenging... But with the help of MUD, you'll be able to do it... Hardest part for me was just getting the old hangers and shackles out... But once I learned the secret (from MUD), it went like tax money through a Democrat.
