Need help installing viper alarm 974r

Got a viper 3305v alarm. Currently my 97 4runner has the VIP factory alarm, that's under the seat. So I wired everything in for the viper alarm. It unlocks and locks. I hooked the HORN wire. The born wire on the 97 is GREEN/RED (+), however the viper instructions says to hook up their wire to a NEGATIVE horn wire. So when I went to test the alarm, the horn doesn't go of, if you bump into the car or open the door. And also, Im lost on how to remove the factory alarm!, because if just disconnect it, the truck won't start. !! Please help, the viper alarm! Fob is so much better
