need help installing new tranny

I do trust people with my crap but I do get a little pissed when someone rolls into my camp when I am not there and goies through my entire rig looking for something that I never had. At least you could of put my tools back into the ammo cans like they were when you went through them.

Yes I might have broken a driveline, I already knew that was the weak point. My question to you is, which of these trails have you been on(Red, Strawberry, Coyote, mirror, west, swamp, Jackhammer, Aftershock, Rubicon, Bald, Calico,) I have made it through all these trails without breaking. In my entire time I have been 4x4ing, Here are the parts I have broken, (3-Drivelines, 1 read axle shaft, a couple tranny mounts, and a power steering pump. I would say that was not to bad considering the trails I have been on. 2 of the drivelines were because of a wrong pinion and the last one was because of pure horsepower and wheel hop.

So Dan you can make all the jokes about me breaking, but at least my rig breaks when I am on a 5 fo 5 rated trail and not on a fire road.
 
OK. If you did get upset about that, than accept my apologies. I had 7 pounds of air in my tires and could not make it to town on that and with dustin swearing up and down that you had the chuck, I checked. I'll buy you a beer to make it up.


You guys get touchy. It is all in good fun. Your rig isfantastic Cacy and Chad's is great too. I would love to have a rig that is as capabile as either one. So makeing fun is the best type of complement.

All joking and heckling aside, will be spending most of the day under the 40 if anyone is free to lend a hand. seven oh seven 7192

Had big plans to do it Monday, but as I was taking a shower in the morning, I noticed instead of draining it was filling up nasty grey water. Got out and water was seeping out beneath the toilet. Checked the tub in other bath and sure enough it was filled with sewage. Crawled under house and spent the next 4 hours literally laying is s***. My little hand snake wasn't long enough to find the plug so had to pull my son's toilet. After having my arm down the poop hole up to my shoulder and slowly snaking out butt wipes, I called a friend that had an electric snake. Another hour looking for the sewer cap in the front yard, I got the snake all the way to the plug. My son put half a bag or more of butt wipes down the toilet to make a perfect plug that wouldn't allow anything to drain. Total damage, clothes ruined from under the house with the sewer caps draining all around and under me, a broken pipe with a rusted trap from the 60s (got it together but it has a slow drip and need to figure out a way to fix without having to replace the ancient pipes), sewage all over the bathroom floors, two new wax rings, 6 towles, and about 7 hours of fun. s*** happens I guess.

asked my son what he was thinking and he said he dropped them on the floor and thought they were dirty and instead of throwing in the trash because he would get in trouble for wasting them, he tried to hid the evidence down the toilet.

I was almost ready to stab the tranny back in place when I was installingmy nose cone adapter onto the 420 and the dang thing must have been cracked because it fell apart in my had so searching for an Sm420 nosecone now.

Thanks for offer. Maybe once I get the new nose cone I'll give you a call to help me install the tranny. Hope your dad is doing well.
 
Got the tranny and case finally installed tonight, now it is time to figure out what to do about drivelines.
