Need help identifying weird knob (1 Viewer)

So I'm attempting to install a remote start that I purchased from Mypushcart. I got my 2005 Lx470 2 years ago, and it came with this random knob that not even the previous owner knows what it was for. There are also these LED lights near the speedometer. I tried turning the knob once, and the lights will blink, and this annoying low-pitch-chirping sound started to play. Would anyone have an idea as to what this is?

You're gonna have to pull that and trace cables.

maybe a security system? Check under the dash and on the footwells sides for a box that looks like it's a later install.

I guess I'll try to trace them as I install the remote start. I hope this doesn't mess up my plans.

Whoa I think you’re right! The chirping sound it makes sounds exactly like what a radar detector. Ok guess I won’t feel too uneasy taking it out.

Having owned that product, and having it installed in multiple new vehicles, I can almost guarantee that’s what it is.
