Seems like a belt-driven part that is emitting this noise. Was on the way home at night so will take a look tomorrow. Does anyone have experience with a sound like this? Made this anxiety-triggering sound for about 10 minutes then went away.

I'm starting to suspect it has to do with the fan bracket, but not sure. Waiting to do the 2nd timing belt change with parts on hand except the fan bracket, maybe that needs to be put on order as well.

Check the bearing on the fan bracket. 99% sure that's the problem. Mine did the same thing.

Oh and I wouldn't drive it much if at all like that. If that's the problem you could throw the fan causing damage and then maybe overheat the truck too.
