those are the bvsv valves. top one should be violet and the bottom one should be pink. sorry i cant remember if that was the 20 dollar valve or the 70 dollar ones. i broke a few when i pulled my manifold. either way im not sure what they do exactly. but i would get new ones at some point.

dealer will call it a bi-metal valve. i think i payed $59. can't remember the exact function, but it's needed when running at higher temperatures.

they are part of the smoggery system. at different temperatures they will open, one at a lower temp and the other probably opens at operating temp. They are one of many small expensive smog parts that break easy. buy the FSM for emissions, go through the whole system and make list of what needs to be fixed or replaced then get a total cost on the new parts. It might be cheaper to move to a state the does not do smog inspections.

dont buy them from SOR. i broke mine, and it cost 45 DOLLARS to send them to the east coast, REGULAR UPS!!!!!

My buddy broke my top sensor about a year. Noticed no ill effects.
you know what. now that i think about it. i broke both of them and only replaced one. been running it like that ever since. no ill effects. then again i wonder if that could be part of some of the "little" problems i have.

Had mine broke for years with no effect and finally rebuild and desmogged my cruiser and I can say that I still don't miss it.
