Can't help I know almost nothing about computers but I know I hate Win8 myself. Thinking about another computer with Win7 before their gone. Just can't find seem to find one that will take a 3 1/2" disc. Gave up on finding one with that takes a 5 1/4" disc.

. It's not connected but does a good good job of plugging the hole.
Just noticed the label is put on upside down on the disk. The colored band wrapped around the top so you could color-code your disks and find then quickly in a box. Back when you could back up your HDD on a box or two of 1.44 MB disks.
And that's only the 3 1/2", how many remember the 5 1/4"? My first computer operated on MS-DOS and wasn't large enough to operate Windows 3.1. I was able to remotely control a few building EMS from my home with it. Once things moved on from MS-DOS Trane used OS2 which was proprietary, operating from home ended. Funny how a advancement moved some things back for many years.
Did it have the "turbo" button to run at 16mhz instead of just 8?My first computer was a 386dx![]()

Surely you remember the cassette storage.

Yeah, I still have a few boxes of both sizes. Learned on DOS as well before Windows came out. My first job out of college had some OS/2 machines running some equipment. OS/2 Warp, I think?
Probably need to take my old HP laptop to someplace like Best Buy and see if they can fix it or at least recover everything on the hard drive.
