Oops the link doesnt work. Search Craftsman Professional 60 gal. Air Compressor, 3.2 hp, Vertical Tank, Oillube Pump in the search space on the Sears website.

I would look around some more and get a shop compressor at a better price than that. You can buy bigger, for less buying used on craigslist. I bought a makita twin tank through hechinger.com with a great online coupon.

For this weekend, head over to Hertz Rental in Williston or Essex Rental and pick one up for $50. If you get one after 12pm on Saturday, on a daily rate you can keep it until Monday morning.

I am looking for a good inexpensive compressor and I need it this weekend.

Does anyone have this? http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/prod...ir+Compressors+&+Inflators&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes

Some of the reviews arent good some are really good.

I need it to be as cheap as possible. Any other ideas?

Thanks

I believe that compressor is made by DeVilbiss. Many of sears and porter cable compressors are made by DeVilbiss.

Personally, I would skip that compressor since the cylinder is aluminum. You'll get more noise with the aluminum cylinder. I'd look at buying a Ingersoll Rand or Husky brand (Cambell Hausfeld) with the cast iron cylinder.

My original plan was to buy a Cambell Hausfeld from tractor supply. But they are out of stock and wont be in until Friday. That wouldnt be so bad but next weekend we have family thing and Memorial day. So that weekend is totally useless.

Yeah, besides the $700 extra I DONT HAVE.

Try a 4b227/ 4yn50 at Grainger, we sell a good bit of them(I work there part time). It might be really good to know what your intention is for the compressor, not trying to bust your chops but it makes a big difference.

Golden rules for whatever you purchase: Buy all you can, get cast not aluminum, get belt driven, look at the duty cycle, remember the compressor you buy today will eventually need parts, etc. etc. etc.......

(book price is not always the getting price at Grainger!!!!)

I am planning to use it mostly for air tools but some painting and sand blasting also. I think I am leaning towards the Cambell Hausfeld from TS.

ff347- I will check those out, thanks.
