Hi all,
First of all -- loving these forums! I'm new here (and to LC ownership), but I'm happy to see this community out there. Back in May, I purchased a 2000 LC with 100k miles and I've been loving it... all except for one problem...
Sometimes (more often in the morning when it's colder or has been sitting a while) when I turn the ignition, I get a click and nothing happens. Funny thing is, every time this has happened, if I keep trying for a few minutes, eventually the engine will turn over, and the car starts fine. Then, it seems to start a little easier for the rest of the day. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries to start, but recently it seems to be getting worse, where it takes >15 tries over 4-5 minutes.
So my question is: do I have a bad starter? I replaced my battery recently, so I don't think that's the problem. If it IS a bad starter, should I try fixing it or replacing it? How hard is that job?
Thanks in advance!
