Fellow GX470 members, I need advice on new front springs for my gx470 non kdss. Currently on toytec 2.5” Bilstein 5100. Since adding the OPOR sliders, it’s been diving pretty badly over dips in the road. There’s a few options out there, but I’m looking for a low lift to match my ome 895E in the rear. What would you all recommend I get? OME 885, ironman constant or performance load, toytec 2.5” 650lb coilover? What are you guys running on your gx? I’m currently 23” hub to fender on the front and would like to stay around that or slightly lower.

Not familiar with those Toytecs, but if you have the coin to step up to a true coilover, I would not hesitate. You can usually find used sets that are in good shape floating around for pretty cheap. I would think a 650lb coil would be fine for you. I have 700 but I have a bumper and winch. I have some 650s in the garage that you are welcome to try.

23" from hub to fender is really tall. Stock is about 19". It seems you are preloading the spring quite a bit.

I have Toughdog 2" and my front is right about 21" with 2" rake like OEM. Spring rate is 660 lbs medium load to work with hidden winch. I added 1/4" strut top spacer and 1/4" spring packer to raise the front 1 more inches but thinking to go back lower.

Interesting, I knew tough dog have springs for the land cruisers. Didn’t know they offer them for the 120 series. I’ll have to look into that. I’ll measure the front again to be sure.

Just measured the front height. Center hub to fender is 22” on a leveled surface.
