Anyone available to tow my mistress to the exhaust shop to and from????
She WON'T be running obviously, so She'd need to be pushed on and off.

Come to think of it.... Would a aaa membership work???? That might be easier for all involved??? Just thought of that now!

I used AAA to tow my 60 to Mudrak several times instead of driving it up there. You pay for the service, might as well use it.

I don't actually have the service, but have been meaning to get it. Think now might be a good time to do so.

The basic AAA service is very limited on mileage, I think it was maybe 5 miles or something crazy like that.

I can help on a Saturday, if that works. Let me know.

Usually, I like to have the truck all rebuilt and do the exhaust as the very last part. Otherwise something always changes, voiding some exhaust part. But that's just me.

I can help with a flatbed trailer, Friday night, or on the weekend. It has a winch in case your truck doesn't yet.

I also have a tow bar you can borrow to bolt up to something temp and move it yourself. (I guess you could briefly borrow the trailer too if you have a tow vehicle).

5miles is correct. The extended towing is very reasonable to add.
5 Miles - $57
100 Miles - $91
200 Miles - $119

AAA is a good value in my opinion. One nice thing is it covers you even if your not in your own vehicle. That was great when my son was a teen, his friends didn't always drive the most reliable cars. I'd recommend it to anybody with teen aged kids.

We also take advantage of the free maps and travel planning services quite a bit.

I went with the 100 mile tow service. They will do this, right??? Drop it off and pick it up???

Thanks for the offer Paul and jack. I appreciate it. I'm still considering who I should take it to.

The ORIGINAL mr. Z
The current mr. Z
Landa muffler has also been recommended

Anyone have any comments or suggestions???

give me a call,, you can use the tilt deck and the gray 80.. or your taco should tow it.. I have a winch on the trailer so loading will be easy..

LOL...I dont have a "tow package" on the tacoma.:eek:

One guy on reno4x4 recommended them as well.

So far....

Mr. Z's (everyone says he expensive, but good work)
The original mr. Z ( mr. Zamboni)
Landa muffler has been mentioned a lot
Lt
Sparks muffler.

This week I'm gonna take some time and roll around and see who I like.

Swung by zambonis muffler today (the original mr. Z). Cool old dude, and I work with his son (dr. Zamboni). He is actually gonna swing by "Chicago fab" shop and check out the rig to get an estimate to me. Pretty cool IMO! Not many would do that.

Very cool.

Getting closer....:steer:

Jack

Cool... Except he never called or showed up!
Not really surprised actually. I had my doubts that he would remember to do that, and I suspect that is what happened.

yeup...AAA wont do the type of service I need. The will no longer tow un registered, un insured vehicles!:crybaby:

Most likely gonna go with Zamboni muffler shop. Just wanna get a ball park where he's at. He does come with some good recommendations too...
If he's open on Sat. anyone feel like moving my PILE???

Keith

I can do it, I have Friday afternoon off or I can do it early on Sat morning before the wolfpack game. Probably be best if he could do it while we wait-right? Let me know. Is he open Sat?
I don't have a winch on the trailer so we will need to be creative while loading and unloading-it has a ramp built on it.

I'll make sure the registration is current and I have large load straps--now where are those in the garage:hmm:.

Your almost there!!

It's OK if you get a better offer.:)

I called aaa directly. They'll tow it for me. They won't do twice in the same day, but they will do it. Never believe everything you read on the boards!!! :)
