NC “Overland” / Campsites? (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I’m interested in some off-roading + camping. Does anybody have some good spots for this? Not looking for anything too hardcore! Western NC preferably.

Sure. There's a rest area on I-40 near the TN border called the "Haywood Rest Area" that's very quaint.

Edit: a few miles down the interstate, the Tennessee welcome center is very nice as well.

And sweet jesus, it seems like everyone bought properties in WNC and made them all airbnbs or hipcamp, so you should be able to find something to your liking along any route.....
