2006 Front Differential For Sale.

Here’s the deal on this guy.
It came with my truck when I purchased it last year. Truck had 186,000 when purchased. The diff had been replaced about 10,000 miles prior. It was replaced when previous owner reported a vibration in the front end. Mechanic (not familiar with Landcruisers) told him it was because it had a chipped gear.
Rather than repair it, he just had it replaced with a new one from Toyota. Once replaced, there was still vibration present. So aftermarket axles were then replaced with Toyota ones and vibration went away.
So I’m led to believe there is nothing wrong with this unit. But will be sold as/is since it is used and you now know what I know.
To alleviate any concerns, I pulled the cover and inspected it. Fluid looked good. No excessive metal on drain plug, no metal in bottom of case, no evidence of “chipped teeth” and everything turns smooth.
Great spare or build to your liking.
I obviously prefer local pickup. This sucker is heavy.
