ok so i have read about this and figured it is worth posting for you all. 2016 LX Nav screen started glitching out. Got the dreaded "A program cannot be read. Please consult to a dealer." error message on the navigation display. Took it to a dealer. $6k quote to replace the navigation system after a $275 diagnosis and all the usual steps to rule out any issues. I found a service on eBay for $850 to repair the unit by typing in the error message in eBay search. Took less than a week to ship it out, repair the main navigation unit, and ship it back to me. I buttoned it back up and it worked like it was 2016 all over again. But while I had the dash all apart I figured I should at least try the new Hamilton system with touchscreen and man it is awesome. 360 camera works. Touchscreen is great. Wireless carplay is great. Steering wheel controls perfect. All in all I have a totally new driving experience for less than $2500 which a lot less than the $6k the dealer quoted and about $70k less than getting into an LX600 (which I almost did). Hope this helps someone!

Glad you got that eBay fix, no way I would have the guts to attempt that. The Hamilton I put in our LX is great fix for the only weak spot these trucks have. My only complaint, and it’s minor, is the slight delay to switch to the 360° camera. The ECoffroad unit in our Cruiser does not do this. However, the fact that Hamilton is located in North Carolina makes that delay a lot less of a complaint. I’ll go that route in the Cruiser if the ECoffroad ever fails.

So my delay is vvvv minor and when I turned the auto 360 cam to work on slow downs and stops of the vehicle it’s even better. YMMV but maybe try that? Was v happy w no lag today

And yes I was no doubt super Leary of an eBay fix but man $859 vs $6k it was worth the gamble. It paid off.

Also if anyone is wondering I already asked Hamilton (thanks AI) if this would work without the HDD being repaired on eBay. It doesn’t. You have to get the HDD fixed first. Then go with the aftermarket mod.

You may want to post more details about which vendor you used on eBay for others in the same boat. Not all are the same.
