I just picked up a 2014. Drove across the country put my home address in it. I also put Waze on my phone. The Nav and the Waze diagreed right off the start. I chose the Waze. Two things, I never figured out how to turn off the cruisers nav system. 2nd the cruisers nav system is well dislexic. For example arounf Oklahoma City...for a brief bit I was on both I44 and I35. A few miles they separated. I44 was the right 2 lanes, I35 the left 2 lanes. I was staying on I44 yet the cruiser said take the left 2 lanes. Is there some update that can be done ?

For those like me who are, it is dyslexic with a "y."

That said, one is better off using their phone nav. In general, more accurate and up to date. I have seen vehicle navigation systems that have me driving off road on more than one occasion.

Even the 2016's and up nav systems are useless. You have two options these days. Either a retrofit kit that will allow CP or AA use in your OEM nav screen or a phone mount to use your phone. As you found out, it might be even dangerous to use the OEM nav system - updated or not.
