Hey bois, my car had gotten pretty caked in dirt so I decided to get it detailed. Unfortunately, the guys who detailed it managed to get some really slight/minor scratches on the nav screen. Thankfully only one of the scratches is really noticeable with the screen on, and only if the sun is hitting it at the right angle. I was wondering if there is anyway to remove scratches on the screen? I would love to get it back to looking new then put a screen protector on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've used Polywatch on a Hesalite watch crystal but I would definitely NOT recommend using Polywatch on our matte finish nav screen. On a smooth (glossy) screen it would likely be ok but i think you're asking to make it much worse.

I also have a scratch on mine from the previous owner but, like you said, it's only really noticeable in certain angles of sunlight. I gave up worrying about it.

Try using a screen protector without first trying to polish. The protector may hide the scratches. Unless you can get ahold of a junk screen to practice on, I don’t think you should attempt any polishing. You are very likely to make things worse. My 100 had a bad scratch from a guy at the boat shop shoving a long box in the back and hitting the dash. I learned to live with it, afraid to damage it further.

Great recs guys, going to look into a screen protector and see if that hides the scratches, and if not at least it will prevent new ones. Anyone have suggestions on good screen protectors, or should i pull the trigger on a cheap aliexpress one?

Personally that would be my last choice, just my .02
