Have an issue with my Nav/Climante/Radio screen on my 2002 LX470. It's black, but if you push it, it will beep like it will work. First I'm asking for some screen shots of the climate and radio controls to see if I can guess at where the buttons are so I can use it partially.

Second, Since the screen seems to work could it be just a the back light and how easy/hard is that to replace.

Third, Does anyone have a unit they removed to put in an aftermarket nav? This has the Mark Levinson system.

Any other info that could help me, shoot it my way.

not sure why nobody is replying to ya...

If you think it is just the backlight, then try shining a bright light, like a flashlight or a headlamp on the screen. If the backlight is the problem, you will be able to see the image on the screen faintly if you illuminate it from the front (works with laptop screens anyways).

If the backlight is the problem it could be either the light itself, or the power supply that powers the light. If you want to pull your dash apart and are good with a multi-meter, you might be able to fix it yourself.

Sorry I do not have access to the model in question, so cant take any pictures for you, but the following YouTube videos might have the info that you need to guess where the buttons are.

Also try using the flashlight trick and let me know if that works.
