The piece in the picture is loose. I'm pretty sure that this was removed by a person replacing the windshield and it is either broken or improperly replaced. I've tried to identify the part using LPN but can't tell which part I'm looking for from their line drawings. I'd love to know what the proper method of removal and replacement is so I can inspect what I have and determine the best course of action.

It’s expensive to replace those trim pieces. I would try and refasten with VHB tape. You have to clean the paint thoroughly.

Thanks for your responses. I watched and learned a lot through the video. I took a quick look at the windshield job and it totally sucks. No rivets, and I've already heard about the water/computer problems that follow. I'll be pulling off both sides of the trims, cleaning up, fixing any rust, replacing the adhesive strips, and reattaching with rivets correctly. However, Safelight did the work so I'll be paying them a visit to see if they will make their sloppy work right. I don't hold out much hope.
