Remember boys and girls, nail guns will sting for a bit.

Luckily it was only a finishing nail. Sun of a gun still went thru my finger and out the nail fast. No pics of it in my finger cause i was too far away from my cell phone to leave it in it and take a pic. And now can only see the exit thru the nail.

Wife was not happy as i was laughing when i called her about it.

Remember kids , Nail guns hurt.

Not blaming the gun by the way just the operator. :hillbilly: :hillbilly: :hillbilly:

Been using a nail gun for 20+ years, finally got me about 2 months ago...right between my thumb and index finger. a 3 in framing nail. Doesnt hurt as much as you would think. It's so fast. But a bitch to heal a deep puncture woulnd like that. Also it bleeds like a stuck hog. I washed it off, bandaged it and went back to work. Hurt more the next day.

I always tell my workers to be careful while using one. I guess I should heed my own advice.
Well, I do now.
I was using it left handed, though. Makes me nervous to do that same thing now, with it shooting the direction of my right hand. (holding the board)

A co worker of mine once shot a 12 penny framing nail straight down the middle finger of his left hand. Went in at the tip and went under the skin all the way to the head of the nail under the skin on the inside of his finger. YUK. The guy came down off the wall (installing 2nd floor floor joists) went to his truck, got a pair of pliers and yanked it out. We poured some alcohol on it, he cringed bandaged it up and he went back to work.

Gives a whole new meaning to "Tough as nails"
