Hey fellas This just started with my 08 FJC TT. At first, I could smell coolant and there was some type of fluid leaking from the AC compressor. After refilling the reservoir I drove again for about 15-20min and it was almost empty w AC on. Drove the next day w AC off and so far for two days no loss, no visible leaks before or after. Now just driving with AC off in southern Louisiana🥵 I did take the doors off tho;). All systems are good no warning lights or high temps just a hint of coolant smell and no white smoke.

UPDATE: FJ was leaking from the thermostat which I have recently changed. No more leaks...BUT now the coolant in the reservoir is always low or almost empty. Yes..I've searched other threads before posting and this was the only thing that I have not been able to check yet:

heater core - check the A/C drain tube underneath the car. If it was bad, you would have a pinkish residue from the coolant (assuming it isn't washed away by the evaporator condensation draining out).

No visible leaks of any kind or anywhere so you know what I'm dreading to think what it could be. Thanks to all in advanced!

Refill the radiator when it's cold. Park on a steep hill or put front wheels on ramps as this helps with getting air out of the system. Fill the radiator through the cap, not the reservoir. Start engine while in this position and let the coolant circulate a minute and see if you can add more.

Also crank the heat inside right? get it through the heater core.

BMT thanks for that and I kinda figured it had to with air when I was reading up on troubleshooting. I'll crank the heat too just be sure @iwashmycar thanks again! I'll update soon
