There is a liquid leaking out of the wheel well area. The carpet is damp in the area where the plastic step looking thing is in the bottom left floor area once you open the door. We had rain a week and a half ago. The fluid is not oily and had no smell but kind of looks rusty that's why I am wondering if it could be water. Maybe the rear AC?

Rear drivers wheel well

AC runs down the passenger side. Since carpet is damp, I'd suspect the sunroof drains are clogged. Park facing uphill, open sunroof and pour water down the drivers side of the sunroof and see if water drains out of a tube back there. I don't know where the drain is, I've never had this problem.

Car was parked up hill when I noticed the leak.

I don't think it's anything. Every tire on my landcruiser looks like that after I take it out in the snow and then leave it in the garage for a week. It's just water and road debris leaking down the tread pattern of your tires and onto the carpet. I'm almost certain of it. Otherwise I know in the rear wheel wells there is a little 1 inch lip that sticks out and catches sand and other road debris. Mine was starting to hold water and snow in there after a storm. I noticed a bit of rust in there as well so I drilled a couple of small holes thru them to let the water drain out. I bet it's one of those two things.
