my wife wants a 2007 LX should I?

A quick search on cars.com only has 3 2007 LC's all around $30K with mileage from 99K to 112K. There's a couple of 2008's one w 87K for $34K and another with 96K for $34K.

Yep, I think the '07s are actually the worst deal out there right now. If you really want the 5sp vvt-i hype buy it at a discount with an '06 and save a few thousand. '03 gets you the 5sp without vvt-i for way less.

Plenty of 200's falling in the $35's (and dropping fast) and the power of the 5.7 and 6sp is not overblown. If you don't test drive an '08 you are doing yourself a disservice in my opinion. 200's are just like 100's in the bland category. When they get modded they get mean looking. That and they have 100hp over the most powerful 100 series...

I looked at a 2008 LC with 118k recently for $33k before buying my cream puff 1 owner 07 LX with 71k. Asking price was $4k more for the LC but the condition was a huge divide. The LC was trashed, smoker, carfax revealed accidents and it had multiple owners. Since I'm no longer in the market, I can't dispute the claim above, but my 6 months of searching did not reveal any cherry 200s that could compare to the cherry 100 I bought for less than $10k more than I paid. YMMV.

Plenty of clean 200's at $35-37k. You looked at one that was trashed for sure. :( I sat and drove several clean ones before we settled on the wife's sequoia due to the extra space. Those clean 08s move FAST though that's for sure. I emailed a dealer the day one would be listed on autotrader and they were gone in a day or two. That happened to me several times.

You did good getting an '07 with 71k on it for sure. That would not have hung around long either I suspect!

I would really like to drive a 5.7 with the supercharger. Probably would be a bad idea for me financially though. :worms:

THIS^^ I wanted the 5-speed, so I picked-up an 04 LX in the mid-teens. Tremendous value prop.

The 07 is the worst deal of all hundy's. Unless you love the 100 series platform more than cake, and REALLY want the last year of production, get a 200. Price difference is negligible. (I say negligible with a grain of salt. But, clearly, you're not penny-pinching, buying a 30k plus vehicle that gets 10 mpg)

In ten years, when my 100 series is running perfectly fine, still, I'll sell it and buy a 200.
