@jetranger -- any regrets/thoughts on your seats?

No, they're awesome. They seem to have a nice 'spring' to them as I go over washboards or other choppy terrain that I can feel in the vehicle but I know the seats are absorbing.

I believe I got them out of a 2011 Subaru Outback Limited

The driver's seat is power and heated. The passenger's seat is manual and heated. Bolsters are very nice and lumbar is good (adjustable).

The only thing I don't like about them is the headrest angle is not adjustable. It would be nice to be able to tilt it, but not a big deal.

Well @jetranger I’ve read your build thread enough times over the last few years that I finally bit the bullet...bought a 100 series to swap the 2uz, transmission and transfercase into my 40!

Thanks for the inspiration!

That's great!! What year? Was it wrecked?

It’s a 2000 which is great because it will simplify some of the wiring.

The truck has low miles and a good history on the engine it’s just rusty.

It’ll be a little while before I have any updates worthy of a build thread, but I’ll be sure to keep you posted on the progress.

Here’s a recent picture of my truck as it sits (from the cross country relay trip). Mine is the blue one.

Excellent build write up, planning and execution. Throughly enjoyed reading it. Thanks for taking the time to document the build and the enjoyment of it. Now I have some new ideas to finish up my 72 UZJ40.

You cant beat the drivability and sound from one of these UZ's in a 40!

Do you have a build thread?

Is that the marine engine?

Wow, helluva build!

Do all your projects "go to 11" like this?

This looks like you have a few other swaps under your belt - or if this was your 1st, you clearly researched each step.

That's a honey of a 40!!!

Finished reading the whole build. Very inspiring.

From some of the later pictures it looks like you changed the air intake and maybe the placement of the horns. If so, what is the reasoning for this?
