Just got back two days ago from Romania. I was there for about two and a half weeks visiting all the relatives and touring the country's scenary. I was mainly located in the city of Sibiu. I had some spare time on my hands one day and decided to visit the Sibiu Toyota dealer and it seems that they offer a three models of the Cruiser: a 3 door, the basic, and a V8. It was very nerving to see such a selection of diesel engines they can choose from.

The interesting thing however was that a week before I left I was walking down the street when I came across a privately owned army truck and a lifted Suzuki (from what I remeber) in front of it. After talking to the owner for a bit I learned that he was an ex-military officer who is now very much into the off-roading experience in Romania. He told me that he use's the truck to just to transport supplies, and the car, althought it was in perfect working order with a double differential in the back and one for the front also. The pictures speek for themselves, enjoy.

Unfortunetly thats all I have guys, I took it as a spur of the moment thing before I left, I had a chance to talk to the owner and then I was off to the airport, I knew everyone here back home would enjoy.

I do remeber the guy telling me it was a ZIL - 157 from 1958.

And of the Romanian brew and women of course :)
