My new ride - a little advice please

I am in! I am taking delivery of a 1985 FJ60 ( 70K original miles on it)in Pheonix on Thursday. I am planning on driving it to Man-A-Fre and getting some work done and then shipping it to Alaska.

My question for the experts is should I get a OME 2.5" lift to run 33's or should I also get the shackle reversal to make the lift 4"?

Will 33's look funny with a 4" lift?

I see no pic.... just a blue box with a "?" Do a search for 4" and 33's there are a lot of pics. IMO 33" doesnt looks as proportionate but will avoid any rubbing in heavy articulation.

I have that OME lift with shackle reversal. I have 32.5 all terrains and they look ok. i will send you a pic. I have 33 mud terrains and it looked good

Depending on how much you are going to drive it offroad and if you want the added lift. I am thinking since you are taking it to Alaska you are going to want the added lift for bigger tires in the future.

You will want to change out the gears if they still have the stock 3.7 in the differentials.
