Bummer on the roof. I just took a body shell to the scrapyard with a very nice upper body

Will you cut this rot out and weld in new yourself? Fabricate or find scrap yard treasure as mentioned above?

yes if i can find a good roof nearby that will fitt ill try that if i can not find one nearby then ik going to take my time and try to weld it myself.

I found a good guide for the job here; http://gallery.oldholden.com/Streetneat/Streetneats-secrets-shared/roof+repair/

But aldo i realy like to learn myself to bodyweld the reality is that i have zero experience with it so i also thinking of finding a proffesional with a good price quality balance to help a little.(if some body in the region south spain reads this a pm is welcome !)

I have done a bunch of MIG welding on my 68 MGBGT. Very few places actually show, which is good.

There is a (Cloud-based?) computer program that will make a 3-d model from a set of photos: http://www.123dapp.com/catch
You can then use another program ($30?) to turn the 3-d model into flat pieces that can be cut and folded to make the original.

Might not be too hard to fabricate your own repair sections from flat sheet with these methods. Need to hammer to get curves just right.

Wow! I read through that roof repair journal. Some bad MG memories came back to me. I actually own a small 120Volt spot welder for thin sheet. Some of that work is just plan practice and skill.
