Wow that's clean. Spring over, shackle reversal and 33's.

Hey that is nice! And it actually has an engine, so you're already one-up on my first attempt to purchase a 40 :)

I look forward to seeing you at Flat Nasty this summer.

hey guys, I actually plan on keeping it like it is for a while as I am sure a few of the "setting in a barn for a few years" bugs will start needing worked out afte a while.

I do like the idea of 33's on it though........but don't wanna be one of those guys that asks the age old question.........."Will 33's fit on my truck without a lift?"

I am planning on finding a top for it of some kind, whether it is a hard top or possibly a bikinni top for now and saving for a FST w/bows from the guy in NC that is trying to produce them for us.

Here is a question that might get the masses mad............anyone ever put Jeep wrangler seats in a 40?

Hey lunyou,

I say go for the 33" tires. I'm getting ready to swap my BFG A/T 285/75/16 for a 315/75/16 Toyo M/T though I'm worried about life given that my BFGs have lasted so long - but I only drive abut 8k miles a year, so maybe anything would last a long time.

If you want to try them for fit, you're welcome to try my BFGs when I take them off prior to selling them.

as for seats, I know I've seen Jeep seats in a 40 before. I say go for comfort and ignore the source.

well I can't really afford the really expensive aftermarket seats........so I was thinking. Jeeps are the same general size and are designed to be used in the same niche as the 40(topless) so the seats should be pretty good in rainy situations and such......and should fit with minor adaptation.
