So me and the Dr. at dr custom werkx have been bartering time and stuff recently and through it all I ended up with a new truck.
Its a 1986 2wd toyota standard cab pickup.
Its almost stock. the 22r has had a recent rebuild and some porting work done to it, but otherwise its stock.
We slammed it to the ground, and threw in 4.56 gears in the rear and welded the diff. Then we just found the smallest tires that could possibly fit on the rims to help again with the final drive ratio.
The handling is amazing and its got a top speed of about 80 mph, 65 or 70 if your not past the imaginary rev limiter.
It did alright on the drift circuit. It still needs an anti sway bar in the rear and possibly some work to stiffen up the front. And ive alredy mangalated the bottom crossmember for the ifs, so ill have to make another one out of 4130.
It will soon get the apitomy of an old man cap put on the bed for style points.
But for now its just a fun little truck that drives sideways at every corner.
