I just got back from Advanced Auto. I took my starter and alternator to them to test since they provide this service for FREE.

They told me both were bad. Guy asked me how long had they been sitting outside of vehicle???

What difference does that make?

Is it possible they don't know what they are talking about?

Did you apply 12v to the starter and solenoid? If it spins, it works!

Need better direction. Do I attach negative lead anywhere on starter body and positive where?

I guess I might have shorted out the solenoid on starter.

And I dropped the alternator on concrete one day getting it out of storage. :o

Still seems strange that neither is working. Could it just be that Im not making good contact?

Sweet! You have got to be close to finishing this thing. When is the projected date?

Your going to make me put a date on it? Man, you sound like my kids! :D

Soon...as long as I can make time to get it done, which has always been my challenge,

BTW, I'll be in Keystone in August. Whereabouts Denver are you? I'd love to drop in and check out your ride...

I live in Capitol Hill near Denver if you need any help from a fellow late model 40 owner!

This is the time that you should cherish the most. I think back and that is what I miss the most. You are are so close but having so much fun seeing it all come together that you actually don't care about the end date .. at least that is how I remember it

Is that your picture in your Avatar? Looks like Jude Law.

Hahaha it is me, but i don't look anything like him. That's just a silly picture that was taken of me at a mustache themed birthday party. I was going for the Magnum PI look :grinpimp:

A few questions for you experts:

1. Would my 2F have had a Distributor Clamp as shown in picture, or just a bolt holding it down?

2. Anybody know the Toyota Part # for 2F Clutch Inspection Cover Plug?

Thanks in Advance!
