Hello Ladies and Gents,

I recently bought a brand spanking used 2001 Tree, LTD edition and man, Toyota, continues to impress me.

My first Toyota Truck was during my college years. I got rid of that and haven't owned a Toyota for so many years until after this month.

I am not new to car forums: Been active with the following groups: Honda (S2000), Benz (E320 Wagon, Benz GL 450, two from different years, S550), BMW (3281), Audi (RS4), & Lexus (IS-F, SC300 1997, Lexus IS300 and most currently an LX570)

I recently joined Tundratalk.net which is a very good group and most users are very hospitable and appropriate. But since I owned a Sequoia, I'm glad to have found you guys through ClubLexus.

My current ride: is a Lexus LX570 and I am totally new to the SUV scene at least for Lexus and/or Toyotas. I bought the Sequoia because I've always wanted a Tundra but learned that the Sequoia is more appropriate for my needs. I am so pleased with this 2001 Tree for it being a "spaceship!" The ride is smooth, no interior squeaks or rattles, the engine pulls hard, not hard, not fast, but great enough for being an 01.

Anyways: I got the "Tree" on December 2 of this year. To make it easy on myself: I'll just copy and paste my most recent post from TundraTalk.net

Within 4 days after acquiring this brand spanking new Sequoia:
- I've completed a major service, (was running like a champ even before but I'm just being pro-active).
- Within 6 days, I added HIDs.
- Then within 1 week, I personally removed the rear window's "brake" system,
- Yesterday, I replaced the worn and beat-up looking 16-inch 3 spokes rims with a super mint 5 split spokes 17 inch LTD Tundra/Sequoia wheels from this generation. As much I want to get an aftermarket wheels, I think the 5 split spokes are the best looking wheels that Toyota has ever produced for an OEM.

Not everyone changes their horn but today I ended up installing a Bosch Supertone Disc Horn and the horns commands saying - "I'm coming." Normally, the horns can be found on European cars. https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-032022...ocphy=9061253&hvtargid=pla-571716011708&psc=1

Next on the list is replacing the exhaust with Flowmaster Sports 10. I want this to growl and appreciate the V8. Just like on my IS-F.

Or will you folks recommend a resonator and muffler delete?

Glad to be a member and I'm hoping I can share a few knowledge I've learned over the years!

S.T.

Resurrecting an older thread, but I’m considering
a 2007 Sequoia (last first gen year) and wanted to see how you are/were liking it compared to the 200. I current have a 2016 LC and would love to hear your thoughts.

How do you like the HID’s? I’ve had an 01 for a few years and never got around to messing with the headlights.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for a reply fellas. OP was last here Dec 12 2018. That’s the day he joined ‘Mud and made his only two posts.
