My GPS is Not Dimming at Night...........

Two nights ago I kept thinking "what the hell is going on, something is oddly different" then I realized it was my GPS; it was still in daytime mode.

And it still is.

I've checked all the display options, setting, moon phases, dead reckoning, tire pressure, possible rust on my KDSS, clock settings, octane rating, etc to no avail.

The only thing I learned is how to deploy the television screen. I swear, I've never known how and didn't care.

Please tell me I'm overlooking something simple. For what it's worth, the headlights do function normally so far as automatically turning on and off.

So when your lights are on, and you press the "display" button that shows brightness, contrasts, screen down, there isn't the pop up that says "daylight mode"?

I had the same issue. My dash display dimmer was at 100% and after turning it down the display started to dim at night. Hope that helps

Yes. Had same issue on day and that was it.

Same here, took me a while to figure it out. Turn the dimmer knob down a click.

Agree, I like to run my dash down next to the lowest on long trips, slightly brighter, about 50% in town.
