Been out driving most of the day, it handles real nice even with drum brakes up front. The 383 Chebby Motor is off the hook...just needs a 4 speed trans now.

Very, very happy.

Looks Good! Hows the rust on the repaint? Get the plasma out and start cutting! and take off that heavy ass top.

Gonna leave this alone and enjoy it for what it is...But mods will be done for sure, and need to work on that top. Needs a headliner and some small stuff.

Overall the truck is in excellent shape and solid with some minor rust to repair but we checked it out pretty good.

Can't wait for the convertable on Weds after the top comes off. Really proud of this and getting some Historical Plates..

I should have picked up some historical plates last week, but didn't have the paperwork so I've got regular ones for the next year.
I guess it runs pretty good then? You probably have enough minitruck parts to do the disc brakes up front.

Amazed at how well it drives and handles. Just awesome work by the previous owner and don't want to abuse this ride and keep it nice or nicer.

Definately doing a front disc brake conversion and whatever it takes to keep it a functional DD..

You can have my plates when they expire in Oct.:)

That would be cool...how would they transfer? Like a normal plate deal?

I like that..my other choices were MYFJ40 and 1BIG40 (already purchased new meats...need the lift now. ;) )

Mark, I couldn't be happier that you're the new owner. Thanks for making the whole process as painless as possible. Can't wait to see the pics as you do the mods!

Nice Mark....

So when's the comin out party?

-o

Sorry I missed this Onur....damn...need to pay closer attention. I'd say the coming out party will be the Badlands next month and will have some of the mods take care of like the roll cage, seats and harness, new meats. Other than that...drive it and enjoy.

3" Ranchos right now. It would be cool to find a simple AAl and toss it in there. Need to do some homework.

The Ranchos are know for being stiff and thick....
If I was gonna buy new springs for my sua, I really think I would look at the CCOT HFS springs just because of the shackle angles they provide.

Thanks Marty, I'll look into that for sure. These are VERY stiff...like a log wagon actually.

Mark,

Ranchos' Do ride rough and are stiff. Personally I like them, I have used their products on a few different vehicles and reccomended them. A buddy of mine built a Fiberglass 1980 CJ about 6 years ago and he is still running them . I know that the ride isnt super smooth, but the upside is you can beat the living crap out of them. I have never seen them sag kink or break. I'd keep em on them and see how you can get them to work when you start loading the thing down with more weight. Thats my .02

well, saving coin is always a good thing especially considering the cost of springs for this vehicle.

Might look for a AAL setup for an extra inch of lift.

Thanks Jason..
