Been out driving most of the day, it handles real nice even with drum brakes up front. The 383 Chebby Motor is off the hook...just needs a 4 speed trans now.
Very, very happy.

phishtaco said:I should have picked up some historical plates last week, but didn't have the paperwork so I've got regular ones for the next year.
I guess it runs pretty good then? You probably have enough minitruck parts to do the disc brakes up front.

phishtaco said:lookin good...what kind of springs does it have
phishtaco said:The Ranchos are know for being stiff and thick....
If I was gonna buy new springs for my sua, I really think I would look at the CCOT HFS springs just because of the shackle angles they provide.

Ranchos' Do ride rough and are stiff. Personally I like them, I have used their products on a few different vehicles and reccomended them. A buddy of mine built a Fiberglass 1980 CJ about 6 years ago and he is still running them . I know that the ride isnt super smooth, but the upside is you can beat the living crap out of them. I have never seen them sag kink or break. I'd keep em on them and see how you can get them to work when you start loading the thing down with more weight. Thats my .02
