I found this picture the other day back from my college days. This was my first Land Cruiser. Can any one tell what year it was? I do not know. I know the pic was taken around 1980. This is one of those you should have never sold :frown: I saw this cruiser parked on a side street just off campus at the University of Georgia. I left a note on the owners door and he called me saying yes he would be willing to sell it. It only had 35K miles. He was a professor from Boulder, CO who was now teaching at UGA. He said he did not need it any more. I paid $2,500.00. It was like brand new, and I am not exaggerating. All I did was buff the light oxidation out of the paint from it sitting and it was good as new. Unfortunately, I did not know what I had at the time, oh well. But that one hooked me forever. I was just a college kid. But man did I have fun in that cruiser. There was no place that thing could not go, and if it got stuck all you had to do was pull out the 9000lb winch and away you went. My buddies who had Jeeps could not keep up, they just could not go where that thing would. I was pulling them out all the time. :) The winch was factory, or at least had been installed from new. The controls were in the dash and it was a PTO winch and it was a Warn. It had a 3 speed which I hated. It made for some long rides to and from school. My uncle, who was actually a Toyota service manager at the time, said I should sell it because I would be in for a lot of maintenance bills down the road. That is definitely one of the only times I can say he truly did not know what he was talking about. Too bad, I listened to him and sold it before it "broke". Well, we all know that was dumb. Let me know if you can tell the year. That is my college room mate, taken at Tray Mountain, GA.
