Soundbar installed, check! Vanity plates affixed, check! Time to get serious.

Specs on sound bar please. Looks good.

EcoXGear SoundExtreme 18" - https://ecoxgear.com/products/soundextreme-18. I went for the smaller one to make sure it didn't block the interior review mirror. It tunes FM and connects via Bluetooth with your phone. The LEDs are an added feature, but probably more of a distraction than something I actually want to drive around with lit up.

I opted for the sound bar since it was looking too complicated to retrofit the stock AM radio with something more modern and the sound bar provided the features I wanted. This way the stock AM radio can just maintain the traditional look. I am planning to use a Ram Mount for the phone so it doesn't rattle around in the console. I'll send pictures once I have it installed.

Here’s the Ram Mount for my iPhone. I figure if it’s good enough for my motorcycle, it should work for my Land Cruiser. You can find them at RAM Mounts | Rugged Device Mounts for Motorcycles - RevZilla - https://www.revzilla.com/ram-mounts?query=Ram%20mount

Well, I guess I should have expected this. While waiting for the POR15 to arrive, I figured I would do some busy work replacing fluids, starting with a radiator flush. While driving the Cruiser to run the cleaning fluid through the radiator, the hydraulic clutch system decided to fail, dumping all its fluid on the ground. One step forward, two steps back! While waiting for the clutch hydraulic system kit to arrive, I decided to familiarize myself with the POR15 three step process. I removed the skid plate to make access to the clutch slave cylinder a little easier and tried the POR15 system on it. I'm impressed! Now I have to look forward to repeating this on the rest of the undercarriage. I think I have my work cut out for me, but at least if feels like progress.

Yeah, with the clutch hydraulic system failing, it definitely made me think about the brake system as well. Thanks!
Hopefully you’re doing your best to put OEM or as close to as possible from reputable vendors in.

I’ve purchased, installed then had to replace later, parts that I bought that were absolute junk.

Sometimes you get lucky at NAPA but hardly. This also goes for some places that have “cruiser” in their name.

Cruiser Outfitters
VintageTEQ
Valley Hybrids
City Racer
Among others are really good vendors.

Others do have stuff that is great but some (SOR for example) rake you over the coals for shipping.

Do your homework, ask here, but try not to let a “good deal” get in the way of a good job.

Just to ask since you went this far on the skid plate, did you ever think that a powder coater would get rid of every bit of rust and apply a nice black powder coat.

The parts I ordered are from Manafre (Clutch Hydraulic System Kit for 1975-1980 Toyota Land Cruisers - Landcruiser Parts - https://manafrelv.com/product/man-a-fre-clutch-hydraulic-system-kits-08-75-07-80/) and include Aisin master and slave cylinders. They seemed to be the best option with Aisin parts I could find.

Thanks for the suggestion. Powder coating would be a nice option, but it is well beyond my abilities. The POR15 system seemed to be the best option for me.

My go to is Cruiseroutfitters aka cruiserteq for parts like that.

They have everything you need and it usually gets from Utah to greeley/ftc area in 2ish days. Call them up, give the vin and you will have the right part plus some good stickers :)

Can’t go wrong with the vendors listed above, cruiser outfitters is usually the quickest with standard shipping.

As Willie Nelson sings, "On the road again...". It took a while, as I had to deal with a frozen union bolt, but I replaced the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, and hydraulic clutch tube. Many thanks to Dan the Fixit Man for the great YouTube video detailing the process.

Found a TEQ badge for the Cruiser. Interestingly, the oil fill cap has the TEQ logo too. Began grinding the rust off of the frame.

You’ll start finding TEQ all over the place when you dig in. The FJ62 I’m working on has “TOYODA” on the power steering reservoir cap. The original family was Toyoda but TOYOTA has a lucky number of brush strokes in kanji so they went with that (TEQ, well, how we see it anyway).
