My EFI nightmare!

Drove it to work yesterday. She drove great except that it wanted to cut off when I let off the acc. coming to a stop. My guess is it is a bad or sticking IAC motor. I will remove it and clean it and see if I can get it to test out before dropping $90 on a new one. Other than that, she drove nice. Faster than I want to go with it. I easily reach top speed in 3rd gear. Top speed meaning 60 mph before the wheel and trans. started bouncing around like the truck wanted to fall apart. Once I get it running tip/top I might try balancing the tires a little more so I can drive interstate speeds, but then again a SOA 40 with 37" tires probably needs to stay below 60.:meh:

I had them balanced and got up around 65 with no vibration, however one took over 9 oz. of weight.

Maybe I'll let my brother try some stick on weights then over Easter. It couldn't hurt to try. The flat spots are causing the most vibrations, after about 3 miles of driving they go away and then it doesn't come back until 50-55.

I drove it to do some errands this weekend after adjusting the timing again. It is getting much better as the ECM learns the engine and driving style. I think the IAC is cleaning itself out as it is getting better as well. I will still pull it this week and clean it just in case. I am just glad it is done so I can look ahead to GSMTR.

So I had this new ledge in my backyard that the Cruiser magically gravitated too. Nice and smooth throttle.:hillbilly:
