My old rigs mainly being doing fine as my daily, however in the past few days a couple of things have come up... The EDIC was giving me issues with early morning starts & after looking at it l discovered why, the motherboard has a crack across 3 connections, so having sussed out a guy in Australia who's upgraded the EDIC for the LC's (chip) l ordered 1 from him, after it arrived l fitted it without any issues & it started 1st turn of the key the next morning, then after travelling 60mls there was a smell & smoke coming from the EDIC..l've checked it & there's no damage done, however having looked at the old EDIC closer the plastic wiring connector on it is melted (?)...so l'm wondering if the voltage regulator is giving up the ghost ?... or maybe the start relay is faulty ?..
Today l discovered why the handbrake has stopped working, the transfer box seals failed & the oil is leaking into the drum add to that the rawl repair has also probably failed (no ratchet)....... Any thoughts guys ?
