Hello all,
I met a couple of your members while camping in the Chattahoochee National Forest over the weekend ---- two dudes in a well-worn Toyota p/u. They were kind enough to pull up to our campsite and compliment the heck out of my trailer; they spoke very highly of this website and said I might meet other campers and adventurers here.

I already recognize many names from the Expo site and a few Jeep sites....

If anybody feels like camping in north Georgia, give me a holler and we'll be ready in an instant!

Welcome :flipoff2:

That looks like a great setup!

Welcome:flipoff2: Nice trailer and would look especially nice behind an 80 series. I really like the way those are put together. What kind of tarp is that? I have been trying to find something like that for my setup.

Thanks for the welcomes; this is an interesting site with lots of serious drivers.
The tarp comes with the trailer and is made in South Africa. It's made from some sort of heavy poly material and is sewn in a way that provides a sort of right angle around the border for strength & rain elimination; it's even contoured to the shape of the tent and the grommets line up with tent doors.
The poles are heavy-duty and store neatly under the trailer between the water tanks.
A boat shop that does canvas could probably make one for you; I'd expect it to run $300 or $400 though.

Ahoy Matie!! Nice Rig and trailer. Nutin to mod on that trailer...why the hell would you want THAT?!?! :p

Welcome and enjoy...awesome reading here :)

You must be kidding?
I've already worn out the Sawzall battery twice, made two trips to TSC, one trip to Home Depot, and one Ace Hardware run for mods. :D
It didn't come with shelves, or tie-down points. The wolfpacks weren't secure, and the fridge area wasn't space efficient.
Next mission is to remove the fluorescent interior lighting and string some LED's around. Maybe some motion sensors, etc.

I'm very proud of you....esp. when you're talkin' LEDS..my Achilles Heel...lol:cheers: I've got some good sources if you need them!

Yes; share source.
I've been browsing but haven't found anything that blows me away yet.
One of the things that I thought would be neat would be to have recessed courtesy LED courtesy lights that are motion activated. You know, so you can stumble to the trailer from the fire without using a flashlight to get a beer...
I found some on an RV website but I'm not sure about their quality.

And I need different foam for the mattress. I'm 6'5" and I compress the 2.5" open cell all the way. I tried it on top of our air mattress but it's awkward.

I just posted some good sources up in the Materials/source thread..if you need anymore than that or have a specific need..I'll try and help..pm me.
As far as the foam..try your local upholstry shop..they general have access to "top of the line" foams..if not them, should also be some great foam suppliers on the net, that will cut and ship a custom size

Good luck
Pat
