I bought the 60 with an old Realistic cb that doesnt have any reception. I am yet to pick anything up even on the highway. To the right of my lift up hatch I have the old school chrome spring antenna mounted on the body with a 48' antenna. I popped the rear inside cover in the back to look in to see where its mounted and I have two wires (one hooked up to one of the bolts, and another that looks like a speaker wire NOT connected to anything). I thought all antennas had a quick disconnect but his one obviously does not. Is this other wire supposed to be connected? If I bought another antenna mount it would have to be the same as I would need to cover the hole in the body. Any ideas on what to do. I dont have a SWR meter or any real knowledge on the matter. I

Dude a 48' antenna! Wow post a pic, you have to be the biggest red neck ever! I guess you dont haveb bridges in your area :) j/k man. Couldnt help myself

I have a 3' fire stick with a hood/fender mount. (It goes btwn the hood and fender) But havent fiddled with tryign it out. As my cig lighter has a short. Need to rig some type of mount and hard wire it.

Electrical is not my strig suit at all!!! good luck!
