LOoking good Spence!
I bet you'll have that thing ready to rock by GSMTR next year.

any new progress for ya Spence????
I took my hardtop, doors, and entire front end apart last weekend and dropped it off for blasting and etch priming. Gonna let the body ride for a couple more years.

no nothing new, ive been slacking off. i am getting ready to place my nuts and bolts order for the true JIS stuff, I have my wiring harness planned as to which one to use and our steps. next just getting the suspension under it and I keep letting the days pass from calling Barry and picking up his engine stand to get the engine stripped, sealed, and painted. i will look for you pictures soon

I had been looking for a website to order the metric nuts and bolts needed for the rebuild. The stainless steel for the body and the grade 8 or stronger suspension bolts. After reading and searching in the 40 forum there is a company up in NJ that can get all the JIS stuff in the correct threads and heads. It will all be the bolts with the recessed head bolts. they will work for both suspension and body. they are also a stronger grade than factory as well at 10.9 and yellow zinc plated.

Got a name for the company ?

I know search is your friend but it has been one of those weekends that you wish you could start all over again. Almost burned the house down with a heater in the garage.

any new progress lately?

I got the engine on the stand the other day. I am going to piddle around with things that down cost too much money, engine painting and such. I am just waiting to see what this economic market brings me at the restaurant. I have limited my spending in preparing for the worse. Probably not the right thing to do. I have to place my bolt order and once I do that I will have the frame and suspension on it in no time. How about your 40 is it painted yet?

no paint yet but getting closer. Dropped off the bib, aprons and front doors at the paint shop yesterday and the fenders should head over next week. after they all get painted i will be back on the right track. I will post a little build thread when i get it closer. I feel pretty good about it so far. The economy does suck but I had the money saved to do the cruiser so I might as well spend it while i got it....

Nearly two months later but I have some new found energy to work on it. I got the suspension done after waiting for greasable frame pins. I have the new shackles and ubolt skid plates.
