My 62 seems to be stuck in OD

Hey guys my 62 seemd to not want to shift out of overdrive when i'm cruising down the road. It starts off fine but when i get to about 55Mph it's idling pretty high at aboout 2500 RPM. In the past it would normaly shift once more. I did search the forum for a thread but could not come find anything that addressed this particular issue. Any ideas?

You might want to try and do a passive flush on the trans. It should take you an easy afternoon when you do it yourself. Do a search for "Rodney Party Trick" and do exactly as it tells you. Then search for "Rodney Flush" then do that. You also might want to drop the trans pan and filter and clean those out as well.

It sounds like the cable is to tight. Try loosen a hair on the kickdown cable
