Yes. I have split and fold rear seats from a LJ78. Bolted the front brackets back about 3" from original position. You will have to move the latching bar or bars in the floor as well. The latching bar will have to be raised about 3/8' off floor for the seat lock to close. I use cup head bolts to secure the latching bar in the floor and put in a heavy rubber matt with cut-outs for the latching bar to make them as flush as possible. The matt helps deaden road noise a bit.
