I’ve got a 95 Tacoma that I’m having some issues with the headlights not working correctly.
The high beam flash works when I hold it back but when I flip them to high beam the lights go dark.
Turn signals work but have had intermittent issues of not working and I’ve had to toggle the hazards to get them to work. Strange?
I’m guessing the multi switch is dirty or finished.
Is there a way to test and clean?
Thanks for any advice.

The local junk yard doesn’t have any Tacoma rigs or the needed parts to piece it together.
New is extremely expensive...
Thanks!

The new price is stupid. I looked at the pictures and i think you could open the unit up. My guess....and just a guess is that you have some carbon build up as well as dielectric grease that is old and clumpy in there. I bet, and could be wrong, that you you clean the carbon with a pensil erasor and replace the grease with fresh.

Now that being said, your temp solutions to get flashers/turnsignals working may mean you have some relay issues which would be annoying to pull the part and clean only to find it is a relay or something near all of your relays causing the issue.

Yeah good point on the relay.
There’s a few videos on the tube that demonstrates swapping in just the headlight switch.
What relay would I be looking for and how do you test them?
Thanks

I am in the middle of a move so I am not near the FSM to look at the wiring diagram. I am pretty sure just about everything toyota triggers to ground if that helps.
