So I installed my new springs on the Taco this weekend. Everything worked great except the tailpipe is rubbing on the rear of the passenger side spring. I was going to just hack it off where it dumps down on the rear side of the axle but then I read this from the inspection site:
"Some pickups are equipped with a camper or hard shell cover and are sometimes used for the transportation of passengers. The tailpipe should discharge the exhaust at the rear or sides. This truck modification will be considered as a passenger compartment."
So that puts a kink in that plan. My next option is to have someone make a custom rear pipe that goes back a little further so it doesn't rub. Does anyone have a good shop they would recommend who won't rake me over the coals for a custom rear pipe (I am guessing Edwin probably doesn't do custom exhaust work). Thanks.
