Muffler Position

Hello,

I was just wondering if it makes any difference to the sound of your muffler as to where you locate it?? (front or rear of truck)??

I'm no expert, but I would imagine the muffler you choose would make the difference more than its position.

The further forward the muffler/longer the tailpipe, the more raspy and crackly the exhaust note. Moving the muffler back makes the tone lower or deeper.
