Hey fellas,

I sold the winch plate that came with my Warn 8274 winch to a Jeep guy in Garner named Ray Chilcote.

He'll be headed through Charlotte in a couple weeks but if there is anyone headed to RDU area or to URE from Charlotte that could get it to him sooner, that would be great. His parents are currently filling in for Janet, the camp host at Arrowhead campground at URE so leaving it there with them is an option.

Thanks in advance,

David

If there is and they are coming through Burlington then they can pick up and have the jeep bumper the winch mount was originally mounted to...

I thought you said you finally took that to the junkyard? Thanks again for delivering it to the farm.

I did :)...just seeing if there was actually anyone who would want a jeep bumper on the boards :D.

Not a problem, wish it would've turned out to have been a better deal.

I'll be heading to RDU at the end of this month if you still need it moved by then.

Thanks for the offer. He should be in town before then to pick it up. I just figured if someone was headed that way sooner it could go along for the ride.

Hope to see you soon as we live so close by each other. Hope you figured out what was making that noise in your rig.

No luck yet...hard to describe how it sounds. Dull mechanical roar coming from the front PS wheel area. It's not the click-click-click of a Birfield...but I've also never done a rebuild and I'm creeping up on 150k so I know I'm due.

We'll link up here soon, I want to snap some pics of your 40 for my dad.

Sounds like a wheel bearing. Is it constant? Does it vary with speed?

I can get it for you...I have friends near Rock Hill and can take side trip to pick it up and then deliver to Arrowhead Campground when our club goes up at 30 Jul- 1 Aug...just let me know.

Thanks for the offer Brock. I think the buyer will be passing through between now and then but if not, I'll circle back to you. Hope to see you on the trails again soon. Would love to join you on your club's trip but as I don't have A/C I'm going to wait till things cool down (or at least a low-humidity day) to head back to URE.
