Mud Run in feb 2011

Is there gonna be a Mud run this year ?
I know it is usually the few couple weedends in Feb.

Something to considers they have been logging ericson ridge,
i ran it backwards in September and Late october
however parts of the old trail was replaced with a 12 foot wide logging road, in speaking with the USFS it parts of the trail will probally be closed for erosion control.

Depending on the snow/mud lots of other trails to run

Just trying to pin down a weekend date

Watch here for road closures and cancellation or relocation due to weather. Don Gatton is going to track this for us.


Directions-
North on 101
Take Hwy 20 East towards Clear Lake.
Turn off to the left towards Potter Valley.
Turn right on Eel River Rd (signs say Lake Pillsbury & there's a little store and bar there on the corner)
Go over main bridge after the turn off for the logging road to go on the county road.
Turn right onto county road after crossing the bridge over the Eel River.
Once you get to the 4 way stop at Soda Creek - turn left towards the lake and campgrounds and you'll run into the air strip and all the cruisers. The Air strip is a clear dirt field on your left. Park on the right.
There's also a way through Upper Lake off Hwy 20 - but that road is steep and curvy and takes a lot longer.

Drive Time
Allow 45 minutes from Santa Rosa to Ukiah then
1 hour 15 minutes from Ukiah to Pillsbury.

Last year’s run was relocated to The Henry’s place at the last minute due to the area closure because of the heavy storms. This year we have Don Gatton tracking the weather and closures.
